Recipes: instructions for use

"Recipes" is a service designed for your pleasure, allowing you to share your ideas and show off your talent. It is not a competition to come up with the most complicated or original dish (although if you do feel as if you could be a great chef in the making, now is the time to show it!). It is a place where you can share simple and tasty recipes, be it a meal for a special occasion or just a light snack. We hope you will share with us some of the tips handed down from your parents and grandparents as well as your own culinary experiences.

How it works
You want to consult a recipe
Nothing could be simpler: browse the different categories by clicking on the links or by typing in specific terms into the search engine and print off what you want. After you have tried a recipe, you can also write a review and complete it with some of your own suggestions.

You want to post a recipe
You can post as many recipes as you like. Posting a recipe is also a simple process.

1/ Click on the "Post a recipe" link

2/ Fill in the first part of the form, providing as many details as possible. Careful! Some of the boxes are compulsory: without the information on cooking time, for example, the recipe would be of no use to other readers and would therefore not be published on the site. Check the list of ingredients carefully, making sure you leave nothing out and that the quantities correspond to the number of servings indicated. Other comment boxes are, however, left to your own free choice. You can, for example, cite your sources of inspiration.

3/ Upload a photo of the finished dish. The photo is important. Imagine a recipe without a picture of the finished result. Select the photo from your PC, your Mac, a disk or your digital camera (jpeg format only, 300 kb maximum) using the “Browse” button on your computer.

4/ In the rest of the form, describe how to make your dish. We propose six boxes for six steps but a recipe can, of course, comprise fewer steps. If there are more steps, try to condense them into our six boxes. Photos of each step are optional but it is always a good idea to illustrate the most tricky stages. A photo is a good way of avoiding heavy blocks of text.

5/ Tick the box "I acknowledge that this recipe is my own original work". This step is compulsory: it protects us in the event of any legal action. If you untick the box, your recipe will not be processed.

6
/ Submit

7/ On the next page, enter your details:
> If you are already a member of one of Week2's services, simply enter your username and password at the top right of the page. You will not need to re-enter your details.
> If you are not already a member, you will need to sign up as a member of Week2. It is completely free of charge, you simply have to enter your surname, your first name, your email address and your city of residence. Your first name and surname will appear at the end of the recipe. With just one username and password, you will have access to all our services.

8
/ Submit. After you have entered your details, you will be able to view the completed recipe, photos included. If you are not happy with the final version, you can edit the recipe or cancel the whole operation with a click of a button.

9
/ The operation is now complete. To view your recipe on the site, you simply need to wait for the moderator to read, check and approve the recipe. You will be notified by email as soon as it appears online. You can upload another recipe straight away or at a later date. If you choose to submit another recipe immediately, you will not be required to sign in again.

Restrictions
Certain recipes are not published. There are various reasons for this: incomplete or unreliable information which makes the recipe impossible to follow; duplicate recipes or recipes taken from other sites or cookbooks and recipes containing inappropriate photos or unclear or ambiguous wording.

Terms and Conditions
By submitting your recipe you authorise Benchmark Group to use the recipe on its site www.week2.com. Your name will always be published next to the recipe. The publication of these works is royalty-free and will not involve payment of any kind. Benchmark Group promises to take the greatest of care with the recipes and photos with which it is entrusted but can, under no circumstances, take responsibility for any loss or damage that may be caused to these works.

Happy cooking!
