For 6 servings:
3 eggs
2/3 cup granulated sugar
¾ cup self rising flour
1 cup plain yogurt
¼ cup chocolate chips
8 oz canned pear halves in syrup, drained.

Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C. Drain the pears and cut them into slices. Place the pears in an ungreased deep cake pan.

Mix together the sugar, the self rising flour, the yogurts and the eggs. Optionally, add a drop of vanilla essence. When the mixture becomes smooth, add the chocolate chips and pour the mixture over the pears.

Cook on the middle shelf of the oven for forty minutes at 350°F/180°C.

Remove from the pan and serve.
