For 6 servings:
  •   3 eggs
  •   2/3 cup granulated sugar
  •   ¾ cup self rising flour
  •   1 cup plain yogurt
  •   ¼ cup chocolate chips
  •   8 oz canned pear halves in syrup, drained.

    1. 1     Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C. Drain the pears and cut them into slices. Place the pears in an ungreased deep cake pan.
    2. 2     Mix together the sugar, the self rising flour, the yogurts and the eggs. Optionally, add a drop of vanilla essence. When the mixture becomes smooth, add the chocolate chips and pour the mixture over the pears.
    3. 3     Cook on the middle shelf of the oven for forty minutes at 350°F/180°C.
    4. 4     Remove from the pan and serve.
    Finishing touches... Best served warm with a glass of cider. The perfect accompaniment to an evening in with friends.
