For 2 servings:
10 pitted prunes
5 thin slices of streaky bacon
1/4 apple

Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C. Peel the apple and chop into small rectangular pieces. Insert a piece of apple into each prune to fill the hole left by the prune stone. You may need to reshape the prune if it has become too flat.

Cut each slice of streaky bacon into two strips. Wrap the strip around the prune, skewering it with a cocktail stick to hold it in place.

Cook in the oven for 5 to 10 minutes until the bacon begins to brown. Serve hot.
