Biologiste de formation, Alex Mustard a quitté son costume de scientifique en 2004 pour devenir photographe marin à temps complet. Dans son palmarès figurent le BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year et... le Festival mondial de l'image sous-marine d'Antibes !
